Not what I need...

It's getting to be that time of year. My favorite time of year, when all the craftiness, baked goodies and pretty white twinkling lights come out. I get all crafty & warm & fuzzy. But not this year.  Nope instead, I slipped on ice & broke my right wrist. And tomorrow I'm having surgery. Yeah, I know. It sucks the big one!

So this year, no knitted gifts. No homemade fudge. No cookies with sprinkles. At least I think so. But who knows maybe I can get the hubby to make the Christmas cookies for me.

Just remember pne of the best lines ever from The Grinch:

It came without ribbons. It came without bags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. Maybe Christmas doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas... He thought... means something more!

Just to clarify you are not THE Grinch - I just finished watching the cartoon with the girls and it was the first thing that came to my mind when I read your blog. What I am trying to say is - hold on tight my friend this too shall pass! Love ya!!!

OMG - my worst nightmare came true in your life, Meg. I'm so sorry!

I hope surgery and recovery are speedy and light and that despite this set back you can relax and enjoy the twinkling lights, the cozy fireplace and tons of baked goodies prepared by others.

Buck up, little camper!

I would be happy to make you cookies. In fact, I think we need a Purlygirl cookie baking intervention at your house. :)

Yes, put an apron on Matt and put him to work! ;-) But I agree with Holly -- you should sit back & relax this holiday season!!

Heal fast, my friend. Hugs to you.

Megsy, darling, I am so sorry! What a stinkin' pain. I know you will find a way to approach this set-back with your usual humor and fun - eventually, at least! I am thinking of you! S
