Blocking

So I've never blocked anything before (bad ....I know) well tonight, Rebecca came over for dinner (I made a yummy dinner..but I digress..) she helped me with my blog (please note the changes)...and then...she said she was going to help me block my stocking. My precious stocking. The best thing I've EVER knitted. She just picked the stocking...told me to grab a towel...while I was doing what she told me she just THREW my stocking into the sink without so much as a second thought. I gasped and ran over to the sink expecting to see my beautiful creation falling apart. She ran it under the water, kneading it with her hands over and over again. All the time, I was panicking. My heart was racing, chest was tightening. I couldn't breathe. And she just laughed. That Rebecca laugh. You know what I mean. It was the longest minute of my life.



Well, I am happy to report the stocking is doing fine, or at least seems to be doing fine while it's drying comfortably on my favorite piece of furniture in front of the fake fireplace. Only the best for my stocking. As for Rebecca and I, well ....we'll just have to see how the stocking turns out. Stay tuned.
