Weekend Get-A-Way!

Matt and I on Hurricane Ridge in the Olympic National Forest. Don't we look cute in our Idaho Vandal gear? It was game day on Saturday!

We took advantage of a three day weekend to pull out the map and find a spot in Washington we had never visited. Destination: the Olympic Peninsula and the Olympic National Forest! It was a beautiful weekend with great weather (until the end - we were in a rain forest!) and fun times! We even took a quick day trip to Victoria, B.C.

The historic Empress Hotel in Victoria. They were having a classic boat show in the harbor.

The Sunken Garden at Buschard Gardens in Victoria.

Marymere Falls in the Olympica National Forest ...a pretty hike through an old growth forest to the falls.

Ruby Beach along the northwest coast of Washington. Note the pouring rain. What would a trip to the rain forest be without a little rain?

It looks like you had a great weekend. The pictures are so beautiful. It makes me homesick for the northwest!

Awesome! I love that you got a nice get away! And of course I LOVE your Vandal gear!

Oh how I love Victoria and the Butchart Gardens! I agree with Jen...when I saw this I had a bit of a NW homesickness! -S

PS-Did you see that both Linz and I were in the Almuni magazine? That was pretty fun!

The sunken garden is my *favorite*! Maybe it's time for another weekend trip...
