Training for a race is like learning how to knit...
Training has started for the Danskin Triathalon. I haven't really embraced the training. I guess I'm just slow to get started in training. Training is kind of like knitting. You start off slowly - a quick walk - or learning different cast on techniques. Then you improve a bit - a 3 mile jog around Greenlake or learning to cable. Pretty soon, with enough practice (or continual training) the 1/2 mile swim, 12 mile bike ride and 5K run will be just like, oh, I don't know, knitting a sweater! Hmm.....maybe I should embrace the training more considering what happened the last time I attempted to knit a sweater!
